Project Smile Manila has partnered with CRIBS Foundation in the Philippines for 15 years to support young girls who have experienced domestic violence or abuse. Through friendship-building games, arts and crafts, health and wellness activities, and educational elements, the project helped them reclaim their childhood and empowered them with the necessary stepping stones to achieve self-dependence upon graduating from the CRIBS New Beginnings Programme.
The project creates a safe, nurturing environment where these resilient young women can heal from trauma while building confidence and life skills. Volunteers work closely with the girls to provide mentorship and emotional support, helping them develop healthy relationships and discover their own strengths.
This project was supported by Shirin Fozdar Community Service Project Grant (2023) and Youth Expedition Projection (YEP) Grant by Youth Corps Singapore (YCS).
